I never mentioned the Malfoy-as-werewolf theory, did I? It's quite a good one, as he threatens people with Greyback, and we never did find out what that was on his arm, and his descriptions sometimes match Lupin's. Um... there was an editorial.

Maybe the Basilisk was a horcrux. It could be possible and there seems to be the symbol of snakes quite a bit in the HP books. Also if Dumbledore was a pheonix animagus that could have been him when the pheonix flew out of the tomb thing at Dumbledores funeral. Just theories.

There's also an interesting one that says Harry, Snape, and Voldemort grew up in similar circumstances, and along the "choices" theme, Harry is the white, Voldemort is the black, and Snape is the grey. Ambiguity is fun!

So I was rereading... check out page 506!!!!! of HBP.

I am sure that he was intending to make his final Horcrux with your death.

So, maybe Voldemort DID make a Horcrux with Harry's non-death, after killing Lily! I know it's a stretch, especially as we don't know the process involved and the blahdiblah whatever. But

He seems to have reserved the process of making Horcruxes for particularly significant deaths. Yours would certainly have been that.

This has significance, promise, just gimme a bit to think of exactly what it is.

Okay so this is a HUGE stretch, as Nagini is supposedly the last and final Horcrux, and as Voldemort probably couldn't make a Horcrux without realizing it. But could he potentially have done it?

Now that I'm typing this it's making less and less sense, but it was a really good idea in my mind. Someone help me figure out a way to maybe help this work!

But my dad came back from Portland yesterday, and we had a Right Good Chat. About HBP of course. And we both had the same thought about the final (being the last one that isn't actually Voldemort himself...) Horcrux...

What if it's Harry?

Because of the Connections betwixt their minds, and because Harry's a Parselmouth, and the whole re-birth-ing-ness and so maybe Harry will like 'die' only not and be alive really but Voldemort be deadtastic, and then maybe his scar will go away................?

My poor computer, however, is in purgatory at the moment, perhaps at some point to be resurrected. However, the tech wizards are lazy lazy people. Therefore, I use my mother's computer at ungodly hours of the night. Just so you know.

Behold: this is the spoiler blog! The Splog! And now (the moment you've all been waiting for) my Rant.

Bloody bleeding UPS doesn't go to the Outer Banks on Saturdays. I decided that realtors are a bane upon the earth. Monday afternoon, the phone rang, I grabbed it, they said they had a book for me, to which I replied YAY then did a weird little dance, fell over, and got a rugburn on my knee. It's still there. Drove to the realtor-place, proclaimed my eternal LOVE for realtors, snatched my book (one of about twenty) and squeee'd my way home.

My God. The box. It had its own box. WHO is the Half-Blood Prince, it said, unlike my Who IS the Half-Blood Prince. But that's okay. I barracaded myself in my room and read for six hours straight, not counting when I had to pee and my parents made me eat.

ARGH. I didn't figure it out. Until like three pages before the dramatic: "It was I!" But—por supuesto, he's the Potions guy. Of Potionsness. In my defense, though: fifty-year-old book. My dad theorized it was Voldemort's, and I had to look at the ceiling until he went away. Strag. Also, I owe Abe money. More on the Snape subject later, but first a brilliant segue into:

Romantic Subplot. There was some! The Ron/Hermione one was spazworthy (LAVENDER! How low could he stoop?), and the Harry/Ginny one was sickeningly adorable. (I like Dean, but not with Ginny. Alternatively: I like Jean, but not with Denny. Ah, tripping over words.) The Tonks/Lupin one made me go "O.o". Still working on that one. I'll get back to you. And the Bill/Fleur was... yeah. Fleur bothers me, but then, she's supposed to. It was all shallow-then-not-really-except-still-kinda-but-in-a-more-tolerable-way.

Slughorn. He just wasn't detestable enough. He wasn't even especially annoying. What gives? Umbridge was much funner. To hate, I mean.

As for Riddle, kid needed therapy. An hour with a shrink every day, that's it. He'd be fine. God.

ZOMBIES! Aha...ha... zombies. >>

And now we come to it. The Death. Now, let me state some basic facts. Dumbledore is not stupid. Dumbledore "has his reasons". He would not let Snape into his school unless he had a very very good reason. Snape is slimy and spiteful, but that doesn't mean he's evil. He made a promise to kill Dumbledore, but that doesn't mean he has to stay dead. And if anyone can say a spell and mean another, it's him. And if he really is dead, permanently, by Snape, who is evil, I will be very upset. Besides the obvious reason, it goes against the whole "choices" theme. If everyone who does something bad turns out to be irredeemably evil, what's the point of the series?

Also, did anyone notice the similarities between HP6 and AF4? Father figure dies, memories are uncovered, and then the main characters leave their previous occupations to become vigilanteonlynots? Eh? I'm sure you people can think of more, talented as you are.

Book was most spiffy. I enjoyed it. However: where was the bloody backstory? Why do we care that he has Lily's eyes? Was the two-way mirror even mentioned? We already knew Voldemort was a depraved child, and while the Horcruxes are all very nice, they don't really simplify anything. Also, Susan wasn't even mentioned except for when her leg fell off, and her last remaining relative was murdered. Poor girl should've been spared a paragraph.

Is that all? I think it is. *bows and climbs off soapbox*

Or cried at all. I was up late reading, and I was crying, and then Bug came in and demanded I turn off the light, so he could sleep. Yeah right. So anyway, I ended up being up past 1:00 am crying. The kind of crying that just makes you hurt.

And you realize what she's done, ending it that way? She now has room to write more than seven books. And I guarantee any more than eight would suck eggs. I also have to get my dad to write a comment on his theories, which include some stuff that sounds like a conspiracy theory. And did anyone other than me notice that the writing quality went down in this book?

I am who I am, and I will always be. My insanity, creativity,
intelligence, imagination, dreams, hopes, loves, and hates make me who I
am, they make me a truly unique person, and though many who meet me may
be scared off by my strange personality, I would have it no other way. Yes
being different is at times rather inconvenient, I don't click well, I
remain single, without the simple joy of love.... call me a romantic, but
that's the simple truth, I have never been in love, in fact I've never
dated is because of natural, subconscious, and conscious filters
that I have not found one girl I could love, or more importantly, could
love me. I am not one to assess my looks, nor do I honestly care..... so when
I say barriers I mean strictly the contents, not the cover. The first barrier
is my very odd personality, and my slightly different moral beliefs. I don't
want to go into details about my personality, as it is in the eye of the
beholder, I don't self assess that, I know what I hear from others,
and stay the way I am. As for my moral beliefs, Respect is number one, It
pisses me off to sit on the bus and hear all of the "normal" men talking about sex, boobs, the ?!#?!or the ?#$&!@. (it just doesn't feel right typing the words.) I am straight, and guilty of a fare share of porn theft myself, yet I'd rather
a good full scale love story any day. When I can't travel far without
either keeping my values to myself and thinking, "what a bunch of idiots,
there is so much more to the world then sex." or telling someone I trust a
great deal the beliefs in a conversation about girlfriends and the like,
then being called gay, and losing that friend. I see now why our race is
doomed, we as humans are capable of so much more, we could do things on a
grand scale, we could be a noble, very honorable race.... if only the sad
and pathetic genetic code that those with the brains, or type of thinking
to make such a change on our race, are predominantly not good looking....
thus our world falls to the masses, and stays savage, cold, and chaotic. I
feel like an alien, borne not of this world or of this time. "is such
thinking dooming me to this loneliness?" I ask all the time. I cannot find
the answer no matter how hard I may look, so many times I have
contemplated suicide for my beliefs, feeling so alone, it causes wear and
tear on the soul. Though I will not kill myself because if I do, the
world has lost one of its better, to combat the tides of the masses, one
who is this way has been lost. By what twisted fate have I been placed
here I cannot say, all I can do is ride the rapids and see where the river
flows... but I hope someday, someone will agree. Now, though I have veered
off the course of this text, that's is what happens in stream of continuousness, but now I have put myself in worse a mood than when I began,
so I must leave now, pop some sedatives, and go to sleep, to wake up for
another day of struggles, justified by small moments of peace and
happiness, and day by day, I survived another...... only to do the same
tomorrow.

So, is Professor Trelawney going to be reinstated as Divination Professor, or will Firenze keep doing it, since he's t3h aw350m3? Cause I feel kind of bad for Trelawney, but Hermione's right in that she's an old phony. And Firenze is cool.

This is almost kinda spoilery, but not very, so scroll down if you want to read it, and I know you do.

Alas, I was less successful wheedling any information about the new Harry Potter from the book’s editor, Arthur Levine. “There’s a new character named Maclaggen,” he said, and spelled the name. And ...? And nothing. Levine clammed up. Jim Dale had mentioned yesterday that somebody dies. True? “I can neither confirm nor deny.” Does Harry have a girlfriend? “I can’t say ... He’s definitely growing up in all areas of his life.” Later, he said he didn’t experience this book to be as dark as the last, though the overall arc of the series is that the “world is getting more pernicious (dangerous).” This one, he said, “has more romance in general.” And then he and marketing VP Jennifer Pasanen, who was sitting in, started humming “Love is in the air.” Well, it’s a clue.

....Whee, more romance. ^_^ Not as dark though? I don't know whether to be disappointed. I think I am, very very slightly. I kinda liked the darkness in OotP. Maclaggen=Scottish to the max.

I have been dead, quite dead, really and truly dead, I do mean dead dead dead dead dead dead, for the wizard of oz lovers, he's not only merely dead, he's really most sincerely dead. My computer died, so i through it out the window(again, why does that keep happening?) I tried to go to the library to use computers, but I got bogged down under tons oh Algebra/Trig homework (t3h 3vil) I tried to use my moms computer, but she was busy, all the time. So I have been dead, literally, technologicaly dead. dont get me started again. Dead. Dead. Anyway, I finally got my #@%@%$#@^% computer to work again, amazing, the reliability of the pentium II's... anyway, so here I am, homework and impending doom over my head, but it is a weekend, so I will put it off till 12 o'clock midnight on sunday(or would that be monday *blerg* I dont know) and get yelled at by mrs. Harmon until I eventually regret my actions, but then it will be too late. I like the HBP ticker, is it really set for a certain second? and will it go into negatives after 0 with unending monotany?(thats not right, monatony? no, not quite right either) ASnyway, I notice that I have been left out of the harry potter comparisons because I am a recluse and the only two of you I have ever regularly comunicated with are abe and ushi. Oh, for those who know who he is, little anoying orange hatted scott person found out that I am in town alot of the time so he wont leave me alone. *blerg* omg I have written a very long post about absolutely nothing at all(by my standards, scary long comments on certain posts) anyway I am back, at least until my computer needs another flying lesson. About the Character comparison, I used to fancy myself as a ron, but now I realize the only similaritie is the red hair. Hrrrrm. Hi. This is off topic, but this was an important day for jocks and geeks alike. While us intellectuals were arguing about BOB (Hardin Park Won! hoorah!), the jocks were arguing about who would win the basketball game. Unfortunately, since brawn is worth more than brains in this world of fools, the BOB competition didn't air on television, so most of us geeks weren't given detention for sneaking out of class to watch the game in the gym.

136 days until HP&tHBP comes out! We should plan some sort of thing. A box social, perhaps. ^_^ I'm not entirely sure what that is, just that it involves ye olde Victorian peeps. And also a picnic. Maybe. But yes, a thing.

Oh and then four months after that the film version of GoF is released.

And a little more than two months before that, the new film version of that lovely book which yon Shine hath not yet read comes out. And we're all going with Uschie, aye? Aye.

And also, it's either June or July, prolly July, Wizards at War by yon Diane Duane comes out.

Ooh yay, 800x and m0v!35 and etc are all happening next summer, 'twill be a good summer to be sure. Also because I am going to Canada. And camp. Lots of camp. And the beach! And I don't have to spend ages and ages with my grandma (I stayed an entire week with her last summer, remember? 'Twas most distressing. I think I was boycotting Blogger that week though.)

I'm watching Young Frankenstein. 'Tis quite odd. And... we watched Some Day A Lemming Will Fly. Which was really good. I'll let you borrow the copy of the first Cracker if you want, Lena. It's called... ooh, what is it called? Whatever. But you'll probably not want to let yon Douglas watch it, as it involves naked corpses and British guys and etc. Which implies dirty old men and odd British swearing. Lol. ^_^

And also we watched The Ark in Space, it's another Dr. Who. Yay! ^_^ And it was odd, it had giant bubble wrap slug things, calle Wirrn. And they wanted to assimilate the survivors on the Ark, which was the space station from Earth, so that they could take over. Because Earth was kinda burnt up by solar flares but not really. And the Wirrn were mostly killed by yon Andromeda Earthling colony, the peeps that went to try and survive on Andromeda. And so then they were like, aah, revenge. And it was funny. And they don't need oxygen. And other stuff. And they were like... aah! And stuff. And it was weird.

I realize that that has nothing to do with Harry Potter but quite frankly, I don't care. It's British, which has to count for something. Yay British people.

My subconcious has it in for me. It wants to hook me up with Duck. Through dreams. Prolly I'll start sleep walking and walk all the way to Zionville tomorrow night. Which is a long walk. And it will be cold. Alas. But it bothers me. Because I'm not. But my subconcious just won't listen.
I know, I'm rambling, but it's Wednesday. Which has nothing to do with anything. Oh, that wasn't all. But that's okay.

Just letting you know that Sid and Joe have all five HPs here and I just finished reading them the first. I really want to do the third and the fifth though on account of there´s a lot of yelling. Or the fourth, ´cos Moody´s fun to read. Mostly though I´m just happy we have such hefty tomes.

I am sorta re-reading HPATOOTP and am like, totally appalled at the level of eveil Umbridge exudes (i haven't read it in a while). Anywho, on a different and more sinister note, I got this spiffy book called The Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death, It's about this lady who hand-made fourteen murder dollhouses. And she did all the corpses herself. And it's really interesting. And the houses are used to train police officers still, and all the appliances and lights and junk work. The boxes and bags actually have food and stuff in them, if it won't spoil. The realism is kinda scary, there are pictures.

Mine used to be failure, disappointing my family and having to work in fast food all my life. That would indeed suck, but after May 30, 2004, my priorities changed. Now…dying. Not me, that'd be stupid. Dead is dead, I wouldn't care. But you guys. If my friends died, or my family, that's the kind of thing I have nightmares about now. And how do you make that funny?

So, just a warning. If any of you get killed while I'm gone, I will be royally pissed. I will raise you from the dead and kill you again personally. Don't die, got it?

Last week there was the 1st HP movie show at the library for free, w/ popcorn. Justin and Emily were there and so was I. The actors were very young and bad at acting, esp. There is already a three month wait for Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince. And it hasn't even been published yet. Scholastica apparently has a porblem with printing enough books to meet demand and they are either going to make people wait for it, or, they are going to contract someone else to print then for them, and that could at least double the cost of the book. There is just no way to win is there? Oh, yeah, andif you don't already ahve a copy reserved, you will be put at the end of the three-month waiting list (that's only for people who have already ordered them) and you wil most likely have to wait up to six months for your copy. That's being optimistic.

James=Harry
Sirius=Ron
Remus=Hermione
Peter=Neville

(Also, Lily=Ginny?)

Please don't kill me. No, Harry is not a git like his father. No, Neville is not evil. These are parallels. They are not exact.

Shall I analyze? Yes, because I am bored.

History will not repeat itself, at least not entirely, because Neville would never betray his friends. But herein does lie some shippage justifications. James/Lily justifies Harry/Ginny, because Ginny is beginning to display some rather butt-kicking tendancies. And Ron/Hermione justifies Sirius/Remus. Yes, it does. Because I said so.

In conclusion, although James is a git and Harry isn't, Sirius is dead and Ron isn't, Remus is a guy and Hermione isn't, Peter is evil and Neville isn't, and Lily kicks far more butt than Ginny can ever hope to match, yes, there are parallels.

It being a holiday off school, I naturally had nothing entertaining to do (I could have vacuumed my room but you know...) so I decided to write something... yup, I wrote a short fanfic. Sorry Shine, you just had such a fantastic idea I couldn't help but steal it... I've finished except I don't have a good ending, so if some grammatically concious person (ie, not Chandler and probably not Abe... sorry guys but I am fond of apostrophes and don't like them to be mistreated) would like to maybe read it and help me?
